Agreement
These Terms govern your use of BalanceAhead. By accessing or using the service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Who may use BalanceAhead
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. You are responsible for protecting access to your sign-in email and for activity through your account.
Financial planning only
BalanceAhead provides estimates based on information and assumptions you enter. It is not a bank, lender, investment adviser, tax adviser, credit counselor, or financial planner, and it does not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Forecasts, payoff dates, safe-to-spend amounts, investment illustrations, and alerts may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Verify important payments, balances, dates, and decisions using your financial institutions and qualified advisers.
Your information
You retain ownership of information you enter and grant BalanceAhead permission to host, process, back up, and display it as needed to operate the service. You are responsible for its accuracy.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse the service, access another person’s data without permission, interfere with security or operation, probe or reverse engineer protected systems except where law permits, introduce malicious code, use the service for unlawful activity, or resell it without written permission.
Free and Pro plans
Plan features, limits, prices, renewal terms, and taxes are shown before purchase. New Pro subscriptions are offered at launch pricing of $2.99 USD per month or $24.99 USD per year, plus applicable taxes shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically at the selected recurring price and interval until canceled. Existing subscriptions retain their current price unless changed through Stripe. Launch pricing is not a lifetime price guarantee; any future price change will be communicated before it takes effect. You may manage or cancel through Stripe billing settings. Cancellation ordinarily takes effect as shown in the billing portal; choosing permanent account deletion cancels an active Pro subscription immediately. Except where required by law or expressly stated, charges already incurred are non-refundable.
Availability and changes
We may improve, change, suspend, or discontinue features and may impose reasonable limits to protect the service. We aim for reliable operation but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may suspend or terminate accounts used in violation of these Terms or when needed to protect users or the service.
Third-party services
BalanceAhead relies on third-party services such as Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, and Resend. Their services and terms may apply to their portions of the experience, and BalanceAhead is not responsible for third-party services outside its control.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BalanceAhead is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that forecasts or alerts will be accurate or timely.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BalanceAhead and its owner will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, missed payments, overdrafts, or financial decisions arising from the service. Total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to BalanceAhead during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute not eligible for small-claims court will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Nebraska, unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms and will post a revised effective date. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them. Questions can be sent to support@balanceahead.app.
